 OVERVIEW

In today’s sophisticated real estate market, choosing a Buyer’s realtor is a very important decision given the fact not all agents and agencies are created equal. Since real estate agents generally function as independent contractors within an agency, the professionalism, knowledge and level of service one would likely expect depends primarily on the integrity and ability of the individual agent, not the agency. An agency, for the most part, is supposed to play an important supporting role by offering its real professionals access to a knowledgeable management staff combined with the necessary tools and continuing education. Keep in mind; not all agencies are committed to providing all, or even a portion of what Prudential offers simply due to the lack of organization and/or the means to do so. In this very important supporting role, Prudential is definitely a leader among its competition.

KEY COMPONENTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL PROPERTY SEARCH!

  1. It’s so crucial to choose a realtor you feel comfortable spending a great deal of time with and you’re confident they possess the skills to properly look out for your best interest throughout your property search and ultimately the contract process. Furthermore, it is so important that your agent’s primary profession is real estate so you know you’re receiving a full-time service and nothing less.

  2. Utilizing my automated MLS search service as a means of staying completely in touch with the local real estate market. My service will continuously notify you via email of any new and/or re-priced MLS listings located in the potential areas of your interest that are within your price range. This valuable tool practically eliminates the risk of overlooking a new listing that may be of interest to you or missing a price change you’ve been patiently waiting for.

  3. It’s important to quickly narrow down the scope of your search so you can direct your efforts to the areas that really count, therefore, reducing the risk of missing a property that works for you.

  4. Ideally, you should familiarize yourself with the cities and/or towns you’d ultimately like to settle in so you won’t have to spend your valuable time deciding whether or not you like an area when you could be making an offer.

SUMMARY

No matter who you choose for your Buyer’s Agent, they should possess a wide variety of professional real estate skills in order to deal with anything that may arise through-out your property search and ultimately the contract process. You should feel comfortable that your agent has your best interest in mind at all times.
